Welcome to Rust
*Remove the nail

What is Rust (concerts/ movement)?
*It’s a group of people that are interested in the music business and are open
to discussions about their everyday struggles in life. Even if you have no experience at all, it
doesn’t matter. If you LOVE great music, then this may be for you. Some of the things this would
include (but not limited to):
*Planning and promoting concerts at churchs/ schools/ etc. The music will consist of Rock, Pop, Punk,
Hardcore, Hard Rock, Metal, Hardcore Metal, Alternative, Contemporary. The concerts will be held in the following
areas:  Marietta, Kennesaw, Canton, Acworth, Cobb County, and more.
*Coming up with ideas to promote and run contests for ticket giveaways, clothing and cds
*Online promotion, street teams, promotional ideas, taking care of the artists while in town, stage director, promoter, coordinator, etc.
*Discussing “matters” or problems that are relevant in today’s time and your life, figuring out new ways to do things, how to
respond to things in a right manner, to share things with a group of people that you can trust.
*Bringing in local bands that are Christian and secular
*What’s the point?
*Several reasons: 1) There are so many great bands and even ten times more great music out there
that young people and young adults are wanting to see live and in their community!
2) You are a part of bringing in these national bands and you’d be working with them while they are in town. 3) I believe
there is a lot of crappy music out there and we’re creating an environment/ movement for positive music to come into our community
and have a “place” and to get people inspired and passionate about the more “creative side” of life!  You would be involved in MC-ing the shows and making announcements between artists’ breakdown and set-ups, throwing out free cds to the audience, running the
“RUST” booth at the concerts and meeting new people. 4) This would be an opportunity to have an environment of people that can be honest about themselves/ each other and their struggles, to work toward something that you enjoy, and create things all on your own. Everyone has a say in what we do. 5) Other perks would be getting free clothes and cds and music and getting into all concerts for free, meeting the bands and helping them while in town.
